Venezuela
banknotes have some of the finest vignettes and colors. Some of the private banks such as Banco de Maracaibo and Banco de
Venezuela printed particularly striking banknotes. The PMG
population report for Venezuela indicates that most of the early notes are
scarce. A high percentage of the early
examples graded are specimens and proofs from the private banks. In many cases, there are only one or two
graded notes of a particular Catalog number. Below you will
find pictures of some of the banknotes from Venezuela from the collection. You will also
